Building With Marshmallows

During the winter months I keep a steady supply of marshmallows for hot chocolate. I’m not sure how it started, but anytime my daughter’s hands get cold outside, she declares the need for hot chocolate to warm them up. I recently found some slightly stale marshmallows in the cabinet that needed to get used.
I thought it would be fun to build things with them and Little E was extremely open to the idea of playing with marshmallows. At the beginning of this project I had to show her how to build things and how to make the design she was working three-dimensional. I think that was the hardest part for her; making her project have dimension. I’m not sure she fully got the concept by the end, but this was a great starting point and something we’ll do again! The best part of the project is that only two things are needed: marshmallows (we used mini) and toothpicks.
I hope you have as much fun as we did!
